Similar Pattern Continues

The pattern we described here continues in chapter 5; miracle event, amazement, fear, and marvel, a coming together, an apostolic sermon or sign, people are converted.

Acts 5 begins with the miraculous judgment on Ananias and Sapphira, then the mention of "great fear came upon the whole church and all who heard of these things" (v.11), "signs and wonders done regularly"(v. 12), "they were all together in Solomon's Portico," "more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women," Peter's shadow heals people, "the people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem," "all were healed."

The pattern also seems to continue in the rest of the chapter and I believe this pattern will occur repeatedly throughout the book with various modifications and changes in order.
