This is a brief note comparing the synonyms and similar ideas found in the introductions of both Luke and Acts.
Luke: "set in order a narrative"
Acts: "account I made of all that Jesus began both to do and teach"
Luke: "things which are most surely believed among us" and "that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed" and "having had perfect understanding"
Acts: "by many infallible proofs"
Luke: "eyewitnesses"
Acts: "being seen by them during forty days"
Luke: "most excellent Theophilus"
Acts: "O Theophilus"
Luke: "ministers of the word delivered them to us"
Acts: "[Jesus] through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles"
